I need to make a new gear change rod to suit the Sturmey Archer box on my 1930 Model A. Could kind person tell me how long it needs to be?
I can measure what I have but stainless steel is expensive and I don't want to cut it slightly too short!

I need to make a new gear change rod to suit the Sturmey Archer box on my 1930 Model A. Could kind person tell me how long it needs to be?
