fork oil seals
Hi purchased new fork oil seal holders with oil seals already installed.The issue is I was going to have forks powder coated. will oil d=seals survive the heat. I have a new pair of seals. How do I remove seals from holders. Mk 2 square 4 1954

Do you mean that you plan to have the seal holders powder coated as well?

yes I was planning on having the fork bottoms oil seal holders and spring shrouds powder coated. The issue is removing oil seals.

Ian - I'm pretty sure the oil seal holders would have originally been chrome plated (which is what your replacements should be).
(Personally I'd save on any bother with the oil seals and use the holders as they are.)
