This shaft has two lobes ,which one is the inlet lobe ?

Thanks for your response ,you are correct about the valve springs .When I received my new valve springs ,I questioned Draganfly about the springs they supply for the VH engine. They confirmed that they supplied the correct items. I will order the springs recommended by yourself.

With the ignition fully advanced,what is the accepted measurement before top dead centre that the points should start to open open?

WANTED :-TWIN PORT CYLINDER HEAD FOR 1938 500 cc REDHUNTER .
