Re: Is this a Hunter.

Welcome !

this is where the horn goes :

note that it (a Lucas Altette) is attached to the mudguard bracket with a flat horn bracket, not the seat bracket.

Re: VB build

Hi Gary, but surely the ball valve in the pump itself prevents that is it not?
Thats the 'main virtue' of a ball pump compared to a gear pump.

Wanted : Lucas MDB 'Covered Wagon' Magdyno housing

Wanted :

Dead as in not alive.
Lucas MDB or MD1 or MDB1 sometimes called the 'Covered Wagon' magdyno .
Looking for only the housing, if possible with the triangle shaped front cover and the large brass (?) cylindrical rear cover.
or just any part on the outside. Inside parts are of no importance ...

Re: VB build

Hi Gary,

I looked at the small cap but It does not have a channel down the side.
These are the parts I have :

Re: VB build

Busy with the oil pump.

atm there is no spring-ball-cap behind the feed side .

I know those are there to keep oil in the crank if the oil pump packes up, (never had that ) :)
Also if you want to have a reading on a oil gauge but my VB does not have that.

So, is it needed ?

Thanks.

Klapton, custom-built 4-cylinder with heads from a Norton 850 on one crankcase.
With modified crankshafts.
Custom-built frame ...
