Engineering Drawings

Post by Keith.owen »

Hi there!!

Does anyone know where I can get hold of engineering drawings for the 5589-50 and 5591-35 mudguard stays as fitted to rigid framed singles from 1938 - 1949/1950 ?

If I can get hold of these and source the materials I'm going to have a crack at making some!!

I tried bidding for the carrier handle on ebay and it wasn't the money: Being dumb it didn't connect that someone else had bid the same as I had seconds before. I kept thinking that's what I bid.must be OK!!!

Ask our friendly Archivist if he has the drawings?

The parts the man where selling seem to be from a restored motorcycle, so maybe its good that you didn't buy it.

Doesn't Bruce Longman make these parts already? I purchased a new rigid rear lifting handle and stay from Bruce at the AGM autojumble, for less than the Ebay price.

Thanks!

I'll try Bruce. I think at a push i could make stays (with alittle help from my friends) but mudguards - that's something else.

Cheers,
