hi Barrie ,if you need thin spanners you will find them , they are pressed out of flat steel the ones that was in the bikes tool kit , or what i do is grind the thickness of the spanner down to fit :D

I think the spanners you want are either 6606-27 which does the steering head adjuster nuts
too or 6606-30 the other use for which escapes me. 6606-30 seems to be available from
DraganFly.

The bearings in the back wheel can be fiddly to get right. There needs to be some small
movement at the wheel rim when all is tightened or the bearings will be swiftly crippled.
It was Paul Jameson I think who mentioned a figure of 1/32" on this forum earlier.

Aren't the headstock spanners too big for the rigid frame wheel bearing nuts, at least at the front?

As you know, I'm a bit obsessive about original tool kits, and I have always wondered why the W/NG tool kit doesn't have a pair of spanners which I can use to adjust the front wheel bearings.
cheers

I use a standard spanner, the jaws of which I cut in half with a hacksaw, lengthways.
