1927/8 Ariel oil circulation

1927/8 Ariel 500 ohv.No oil drips through sight glass.Have done all checks in owner's handbook to no avail.Any suggestions gratefully received

By 27/28 I assume that you mean a 28 model? On these models the screw is screwed out to increase the oil flow as the screw regulates an 'air leak'. This catches a lot of people out. The 26/27 is the opposite to this. If this is not your problem then an expert should be along shortly.
