Founders Day
Founders Day
I'm having a clear out of my bits and pieces and will have a stall at Founders Day this Sunday (stall number D20). Most parts will be pre-war Ariel including W/NG/Square Four/LF 250 and other models' girder forks, headlamps, gearboxes, yokes, hubs, handlebars (tapered and one inch), rubber handlebar mounting brackets, a rare pre-war side stand and bracket, engine mounting brackets (including OG 250), engine parts including MF 32 and LF250 cams, oil tanks for square four (including 1939) and LF 250, MF32, square four and other chaincases/timing covers and cases and other bits I'll come across as I sort through the garage. I think the only post war parts I'll have will be a head and barrel from a NH or NG 350.
I'm also reluctantly selling my 1933 MA3 project - frame number 101 which I think is the first one of the specially produced run of 99 (possibly 100) 350 side valves for Stockvis and Zonen. Non-Ariel bits will include 1920s BSA 550 side valve engine, veteran Brooks and Lycette saddles, NoS Levis rear mudguard, New Hudson two stroke engine parts, Burman HP gearboxes, Bosch magnetos, a 1915 Diamond frame and engine and various odds and sods. If anyone is interested in something particular let me know and I'll put it aside for you to look at.
I'm still looking for an outer chaincase and rear mudguard for a 1939 OG 250 as well AKD powered Ariel V twin engine, chaincase and cycle parts......

Re: Founders Day
Do you happen to have 2 exhaust pipes for LF or MF?(They are the same)
Just the pipes. I have the silencers and fishtails.

I will be at the annual.

Re: Founders Day
Hi Knud, unfortunately no MF/LF downpipes - I'll be having the same problem when I come round to doing the MF. I'll also be at the annual but only for one day. I live close by but work will get in the way....

Re: Founders Day
Hi Guy,
If you have them, I would be interested in purchasing a girder fork for a 1935 Sq 4 and tapered handlebars for a 1939 Sq 4.
See you on Sunday at Founders Day.
Regards, Roland.

Re: Founders Day
Hi Beat, yes, I have 4850-34 handlebar mounting bracket with the shims and special nuts. The rubbers are perished but Jiri in the Czech Republic sell rubbers which work. I'll put a set aside for you to look at.

Re: Founders Day
Hi Simes and Roland,
I have one set of tapered bars which came with a set of W/NG forks. They'll need a bit of straightening and painting. I also have a set of square four tapered bars which have been re-chromed but they will need bending to shape as they were straightened a little bit too much. I have a set of pre 1939 girder forks but am not sure if they are correct for the 1934 square four. I'll put them to one side for you to see.

Re: Founders Day
Thanks Guy. Unfortunately, due to the imminent arrival of a new grandchild, I'm not traveling at the minute. I'd still like a set of bars for the W/NG though.
Would you be prepared to post them?
