Huntmaster Clutch

Post by neil.grant »

Hello all, I hope somebody out there can help. I own a 1954 Huntmaster. I recently replaced the clutch as supplied by Draganfly. According to the workshop manual there should be three Klingerite plates and four plain plates. When I removed the existing plates there was only two Klingerite and three plain. There was not enough room in the clutch basket to accommodate the seven plates. The old clutch worked ok without slipping with it's cork inserts. Obviously the wrong clutch housing and centre have been fitted at some time. I have tried to find a supplier who stocks cork inserts for the Burman plates without any success. I tried asking Draganfly for advice and availability of the correct housing and centre but got no reply. Is there any other outlets that would stock these items ? I would like to know if cork inserts can be bought anywhere as well. I seem to be getting nowhere with this. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Neil.
