Re: Ariel for sale in Sweden
Decided to have a good look at the photos  Pic 1 - nice set of sidecar mountings on view and the extension for the silencer mounting and (on standard frames) the pillion footrest lug, oh, what's that dark blob about half way along? swedishHS1.jpg . Pic 2 - is that an HS footrest? ...

Re: Ariel for sale in Sweden
Is that this one?

The 1954 sales literature shows an Anstey frame VB with a fluted tank but still with the earlier style enamel 'strip' badge. Maybe it's a 1955 tank - I wonder what the parts books show...!!

Joe I'm not sure anyone has mentioned this explicitly - you have an engine with a roller-bearing big-end and roller bearings in themselves don't give (and don't need) oil pressure. The use of the oil pressure gauge on an Ariel single is a bit artificial as all it really measures is the pressure agai...

Re: Ariell NH350 Chaincase problem
I think my chainwheel fits the other way round..... ;) (The chaincase outers are mostly all the same, the inners change between singles and twins but yours looks to be the one for the singles.) My '56 frame (actually left the factory in late '55) doesn't have the centre tank bolt lug (that came in f...

Re: KH Carburation Saga
The two-stroke monobloc often has an angled spray tube in the jet block and different needle jets (with no cross-hole?), If you've been trying to get a two-stroke carb to run on a four-stroke engine it might be troublesome....
