A quick look in the parts book tells me that they are 5383-46 and are what might be termed standard fitment being found on all post 1946 rig/plun singles and twins.

We have 2 drawings for the tube; 1927 and 1928, both list the material as .5 carbon W.S.T. 7/16 dia x 22 swg

No, I have details of several dealers and I am pretty certain that before Johnson's became big that the bikes were despatched to individual dealers. Hi new boy, Ian. Sorry for the slow reply, I have been on a few rallies. I don't have an entry for that registration in the club's register but it may be in there under the engine and frame numbers. MLY is a London reg from November 1951 so the bike would be an early 1952 model.

.002/.004 for crank. Presumably you are asking this question because you are building an engine without recourse to the manual? There were never any torques settings given for the head but you are crazy to build a MKI without using Otto gaskets that should include a 3 page discourse on torquing the ...
