Hi Graham,
Congratulations! Great to have a WD machine in your stable. Awesome history. Apologies for the blurry picture but am having camera issues.
Let us know if you'd like assistance picking out details that would bring the W/NG closer to original.

Re: new owner
Thanks for the prompt reply and photo, a pic of the other side would be useful to see the brackets, any information to get the bike nearer it's wartime condition would be greatly appreciated, I'm not a "rivet counter" and will use stainless steel fixings made dull and metric nuts and bolts when they won't show or be noticed but try to Make things look period and if I can reuse or get original parts over repro I will.

Re: new owner
Graham, a pic of the other side really won't tell you anything unless you plan on making one from scratch. If you find one that looks like this one, you're done.
No need whatsoever to use metric nuts and bolts as every one of these is available from Draganfly or Acme Stainless.

Re: new owner
I think I may have one. I was going to 'adjust' the brackets to suit the SQ4 - but I haven't done so yet. I will get a picture for you.wade.edwards wrote:Graham, a pic of the other side really won't tell you anything unless you plan on making one from scratch. Re: new owner
Thanks both yes I am going to make the lower guard from scratch.
I realize that all the bolts can be obtained in stainless but they are expensive and metric stainless are free so I will only buy them if metric are going to be noticed and in any case they still have to be dulled.
Regards
Graham

Re: new owner
Congratulations Graham with your purchase. Hope you realy will enjoy it!
If I where you I would definitely consider the use of BSC and BSW nuts and bolts on your machine in places where they belong. I'am aware thats a mather of opinion, but nowadays BSC and BSW nuts and bolts are quite easely to obtain. Why go for a genuine bike and neglect these things? Makes spannering also much easier!
