Hi,
Long time already I am looking for an Ariel sloper 500. Unfortunately not much luck so far. Just recently one appeared at this dutch lion motorbike side. Suppose most of you know it. I am actually a bit sceptic about the bike, price is also high. Have to admit I am not a specialist, nevertheless, I really would like to have a sloper. There are for sure specialist out there, may I ask for your opinion about this bike? Or do you know another sloper for sale? Does not matter in which condition, restoration would not be a problem.
There is also this Ariel 500 Red Hunter 1933 short stroke on the same page, what do you think about that one?
Many thanks for your help.

I can't find much wrong.
The headlamp is sitting to high and the horn must be on the left side of the frame, altough this year is a mix, that has to do with cutting models.
The numbers will make the price.

I am tempted to sell my 1935 hunter for that price.

I love my SF31 and I'm really looking forward to riding mine again in 2013.... I'd now like to find an SB side valve version....can anyone help?
The SF on the Dutch Lion site looks good. I can spot a few minor issues like: wrong knee rubbers on tank, missing cross frame toolbox, missing rear toolboxes, wrong battery strap, modern twist grip, etc. But these are not problems. But it's a high price.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your help. I like this forum because of people like you are. In other places you often get really bad answers, if you actually get one.
Unfortunately I cannot check the bike on dutch lion in person, because I am at the moment in India and it seems my company wants to keep me longer here. Therefore I might skip this opntion. I found a sloper in India, was quite surprised, but the owner does not want to sell it.
Thanks for the red hunter offer, but it has to be a sloper, at least for now. (SQ4 600 would be also fine

)
Please let me know if you come across a nice bike for sale, would really appreciate your hint.

Hello Patrick,
Welcome to our forum. Do you have a personal history with Ariel's?
It's good that you have chosen to comment. I sometimes wonder which of the business community monitors our posts!
I'm also pleased that you have chosen a username that reflects your business. No doubt some would choose otherwise.
I expect that you'll read a range of comments - both positive and negative, depending on our experiences or understandings.
As you would expect, we are passionate about our bikes.
While we have a policy of not advertising via the forum, given the nature of this thread, is there any more that you would like us to know about the bikes (sloper and short stroke) that you have for sale? (apart from what we can read on your website).
regards, Brenton

Hello Patrick I have read more about your way of doing business, you sell motorcycles, making money, nothing else.
I do not advise people not to buy from you ,it's their own responsebillity and it's a free country,so I can tell them how I feel about it.
End of discussion. Best regards as well.Chris
