857-34 Cover for rocker adjustment 34-37

On my way back home from the Annual Rally, I lost, among other things, the chromed cover over the exhaust valve of my 1937 NH.
I have now two options: Draganfly have an unplated steel cover for £39.50; Single Spares have a cast alloy version for £32. The steel covers would be like the originals, but the extra hassle and costs for plating are putting me off. What should I get? Do the cast allow covers look right when polished? Do they last any longer than the steel covers? I know, I should just learn to live without the cover and to enjoy watching the exhaust rockers moving.
