Hi guys!
I'm brand spanking new on this forum. Maybe a future AOMCC member due to lack of a BE chapter, subject to me getting hold of an Ariel W/NG 350cc.
- My grandfather rode an ARIEL W/NG 350cc during his military service in the Belgian Air Force, somewhere between 1945 (RAF BE section) and 1947 (when the new Harleys were introduced). See photograph attached. - He owned an Ariel W/NG 350cc in 1952 which was bought in the Belgian (Flemish) province of Limburg (area of Hasselt) and subsequently sold probably in the Brussels Region. That motorcycle had serial number XG46363 and was a 1944 vehicle (IIRC). I do not know if this motorcycle still exists. If it does, I would absolutely love to know.
Unfortunately, he passed away before I found out and was able to ask him questions on these motorcycles.
- I am looking to get an Ariel W/NG 350cc. Not only because my grandfather rode and owned one, but also because I could use it for living history events. Currently I'm eyeing a project that needs parts. All of the parts that need to be mounted on the handle bar, knee pads, rear seat; pannier rack along with the rear stand. If I'm not mistaken I've already come across newly made wiring harnasses for a NG.
