Air Publication 2226 Vol 1 part 2

Post by will_curry »

ap2226.jpg
I came across this in my travels recently and I've never seen anything like it before.
It's undated but appears to be mostly words and pictures from Ariel literature
reformatted to suit AP requirements. The only clue I've spotted so far is that there
is mention of 'Steel chaincases'.

It also carries the reference 'Book No 101/A1, 3B' .

Anyone got any further information please?

There must have been other, similar publications but this is the only one I have seen. Draganfly have had a photocopy of someone else copy for many years. This and part one (Driver's Handbook) are available in the club library.

Nothing particularly enlightening from me, just a note that this is part 2 to the Driver's Handbook in the website online library.
(The Handbook being Air Publications 2226 Vol. 1, Part 1, numbered Book no 100/AI. 2A )

(I see Roger got in while I was still checking that I'd got the numbers down correctly!
There are two copies of the Manual in the library, from different original docs - unless one is a version that has been cleaned up.)

Thanks for the detail. I'd not spotted the library copies before.

Now I've had a look my copy differs significantly in the way that pages
and figures are referenced and seems to contain some more material
concerning the steel chaincases.

There are at least two pages missing from the library copy, page 4 being the
first.

Anyone got a decent scanner?

The two copies in the library are laid out quite differently - the PDF has page 4 missing but the pages seem to be just numbered consecutively.
The doc that's been copied as a series of jpegs seems to have the pages numbered within sections - the missing page 4 (from the PDF) seems to be in the jpegs as Section B Page 1. (The jpeg for Section B page 2 seems to be the same as what's given as page 5 in the PDF).

(The jpeg list doesn't seem to be ordered properly, if I get some time over Xmas I'll see if I can arrange them sequentially.)

No need for the scanner after all. The single-image version is the same
as the copy I have. Silly me for not checking that the two library versions
differed.
