I was a forum member before buying my VB and joining the AOMCC.

Johnny - they're not linked. (Not at the moment anyway.)

If I spot a Forum user is also an AOMCC member (or get informed about it) they'll be added into the 'red names' group.
Also the reverse - if I spot a 'red name' isn't a member (or someone tells me) they get taken out of the group.

In these cases the Forum login always remains the same, it's the privileges of the login that get altered.

Slightly related - does the 'members list' show both club and forum members?

I thought it only showed Club members (but I have been known to be wrong).

Bob - 'Members list' shows all registered Forum users whether they are Club members or not. See my first post, assigning users to groups (of which 'AOMCC members' is just one) is a completely manual process, and relies on the appropriate communication between individual Forum members and Admin to work fully.
Johnny - the Forum has always been open to anyone to join (which requires registering), there's no requirement to also be an AOMCC member. (Most of the Forum is also viewable, and searchable, by the internet public without having to register. )
