For taps and dies etc, Tracy Tools are excellent.

It will be a Cycle thread. Are you able to measure the diameter?

As Mike said, Tracy Tools are excellent.

You don't need/want any excess play there either. Die Nuts are generally not adjustable. You might have to also make a new Cone and locknut. Nev

Hi

If by 'centre stem' you mean the pivot for the upper and lower steering yokes this will be a cycle thread, probably 26 threads per inch, (TPI). However getting a die in this large size may be difficult, Tracy only list a few, you may be lucky but if not you can probably restore the thread with a suitable thread file, Tracy supply these too.

What is the diameter of the thread?

Die nuts are not adjustable and generally use for thread cleaning/restoration, not cutting new.

Uni Tools list a 1" x 26tpi at £101.70.....gulp.....

Depending on the diameter you might find bicycle tooling suitable. eg Cyclo Tools
