Hi , a very good friend of mine has passed away leaving a very nice, thoroughly rebuilt 4G which has had new Conrods, pistons , properly line bored new main bearings and numerous mods, including an oil filter. There is also a spare alloy rocker cover, and a spare Solex carburettor. I am helping and advising his family as to selling and would appreciate advice on possible values. I know the spare parts are both rare and quite valuable, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks Ron .

I think the first question will be what do you have in the way of documentation for the work (receipts etc).
And someone's going to ask if there's a guarantee on the crankshaft sludge traps being cleaned out....
(Topic moved 'cos it's not really technical.)

The bike is stored in his factory unit,it was last run 4 months ago. All the engine machining work was done by Rob Cottrell of Clay Cross, Derbyshire, including the crank sludge traps, and machining of the rocker box to fit o rings- a procedure which Rob specialises in. I need to find the paperwork guarantees/receipts,and will post pics when next visiting the factory in a week's time, thanks.
