Hi all,
The photo attached is of an employee of Glover Brothers in Mossley, Lancashire, around the 1950s. I'm trying to identify the model of Ariel.
I'm informed that "Cheshire County Council issued the registration mark MMA 329 between January and April 1950" but of course this does not necessarily date the bike itself.
Any ideas?
Graeme

I'd say that's a W/NG. Girders and no panel tank, speedo on forks, 350 style oil tank, second tool box missing but brackets there - civilianised W/NG.
That's a 350 cc single, probably around 1942-3.

Perhaps an explanation for the difference between the bike's age and its year of registration:

Interesting that the W/NG in the poster shows the air filter. You don't see many of them fitted in period photographs.
