it's ARIEL alright. Don't be too savage with the sandblasting. The hinge is all there Just carefully grind the rivets flush that held the rear section, and punch them out without distorting anything. Free up the hinge in place.. Rivet new rear section in place Nev

Thanks for the tips!
Today a superficial cleaning, some small holes to repair and the hinge in very good condition.
I need to do a new rear section.

I was very lucky to found this Mudguard. There are very few Ariel in my country.

Here are a few photos of my WNG rear mudguard which may help with the size and shape of the narrow section for the chain
Cheers

The Strap holding the Guard near the seat spring mounts is not always above the Guard, 2 of the three I've worked on had it underneath. Bit harder to make the strap but better appearance. The holes where it attaches to the frame are elongated (slotted) for adjustment of the guard. Nev

Put the fender on the bike, it fits very well but I must move holes.
Is the central nerve continuous throughout the length?
