Small update on the Bernardet sidecar;
I've found a old picture of a Bernardet Grand Sport du Monde Avion on Ebay France.
Bad quality but interesting.
I think the negative got reversed as the sidecar is on the left, or this is in England ?
The bike looks to have a chromed headlamp, something very common in France at that time.
Picture was taken somewhere at a harbor front, buildings look French to me, and I think I see the French tricolore flying.

Any change that someone reconizes the town ?

What I see is him doing round at speed lifting the sidecar.
Yes it must be the westcoast of France becouse it's not very warm there, the wind is mostly sout-west there so the pic not reversed.
Calais would fit at; Quai de la colonne louis XV111, this was totaly bombarded but the harber shape could fit.
Yes they still use the old canon as harber mooring.

Thanks Adrie,
You can see the trail of gravel the rear wheel kicks up.
And yes it looks rather windy there !

Motobecane racer now for sale at Lion's
Is very similar to the Motoconfort racer that originally could have been fitted to the Bernardet.
Am I in ? no I am not.

amazing ! I think this could very well be the harbour.
I 'walked' a bit more to the left to get to the other end of the harbour, see this :
https://www.google.nl/maps/@50.9610913, ... oE9SFQ!2e0
This could be the exact spot, old houses all gone.
Maybe, just maybe the lighthouse in the background on this streetview position could be the short mast just to the rear of the riders head ?
Probably not the same lighthouse -as all bombed- but a new one in the same spot...?

You have totaly lost it, I will spank you next Sunday with a new old stock 1936 primary. :D

The small square building on the old picture is the watchhouse for the tidelharbour, on the new you see the round base where it was and the gaps where the lockdoors where, now it's an open harbour that's why there are these ladders at the sides.
