Thats the perfect tool for nowadays traffic!
It has a sobering effect on the rest of the road users

, same effect had my MB508 with its gigantic black bumpers

Oooh, the Ferret was a favourite vehicle of mine when I started with RCEME. Our version came with a Rolls-Royce 6 cylinder and 5 speed transmission, forward or reverse! Quite a trick learning how to drive using the prisms at 50 mph backwards.

Most modern SUVs seem to be designed along the same principles… Are you sure it’s not just a Nissan with a green paint-job?

Should have said 5 speed transmission and a forward/reverse lever and everything was pre-selected, select next gear punch the clutch and as you released it had changed. If you were in forward run into a bit of a situation while out on a recce shove it in reverse hit the clutch drop the prism viewers and hang on. Fun to drive.

Found myself a local job today in Havent, a paint factory.
The lagger on site had hired some equipment called Aeriel cherry pickers to reach the high pipes, but it wouldn't start!, the company sent an engineer and replaced a fuse but blew again, bad wiring apparently also had a very bad oil leak, All sounds so familiar
On the way home passed a lovely Pub, this sounds familiar also

Or in Latin could also mean : Door
adplicabisque aaron et filios eius ad fores tabernaculi testimonii et lotos aqu
English:
and thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water
Door of Bere..
I assume that water would be miraculously transformed in to beer, or was that another guy? eeehh, something with fish and bread ??
