Push rod and rocker problem

I did say USUALLY. The taller the motor is the more the problem. Ideally the clearance would increase slightly as the motor warms up. The other way is more likely to cause problems. A long cam follower makes the push rod shorter. so less effect. If they are small diameter they are solid section, not tubular, and invariably short as they are subject to bending..Nev
