Hello Barry

Yes, some progress has taken place.I found a Ariel VB 1931 frame with useable fork.

Someone has changed spring position from expanding to compressing but I can take it back to original with parts I get from Denmark (Thanks Jorgen!).

Still missing is part D9/57 (Ball head clip and handlebar fixing). These parts are quite rare but with luck, nice help and time they come to me ;)

Cheers Ismo

Hi Adrie

I think these cut offs and weldings are not factory made ;)

Cheers

Your right offcourse, this is a bad conversion.

In 1930 - 1931 the factory sold Ariel's with connections for both springs, there are peaple who are grinding these off thinking it's wrong.

The tension ones sometimes stretch and look a bit different but work OK. Funny about the 1930 models . The top one did 84 MPH "out of the box" About as fast as any 500 OHV ever went standard. Nev

An another step forward , I get the top yoke from Ebay :D
Thanks for reminders.
Tell me, are all "shiny parts" in this year model still nickel plated?
Any chromed parts?

Cheers Ismo
