Re: Which pistons are available for my ariel
Thank Simon & Roger. To be clear, my Gudgeon pin is is excellent condition so can I use it with the new JP piston and can have the bore honed out to provide .005"-.007" clearance.

Simon, unfortunately, I'm a new member and have not received my log in credentials yet in order to access your link. I'll have to wait for the next issue of the monthly news letter.

Hi Ken, the log in details were in the welcome email sent to you on 16th November, apologies if it didn't arrive, perhaps in your spam box. This would be the same day that I would have sent you a copy of the current magazine, perhaps that is stuck in customs!

I weighed the pin from the VB JP piston and it's a earth shattering 8 grams heavier compared to a Heplex VB pin

Re: Which pistons are available for my ariel
I plan to order a VH 10503 7.5:1, +.040" piston-ring set to replace my 11497 piston today. I will then have the cylinder bored & honed to provide the .005"-.007" clearance. Since my Gudgeon pin is is excellent condition, can I use it with the new JP piston please?
