thanks for your reply, it is a beautiful machine, shame its not still with my family now, but I reckon it was sold when he got married in 1932 and the money went perhaps towards a deposit for his first house. I wondered what that fantastic gearing was attached to the front wheel, thanks again, much appreciated.
