Gearbox was in 1-2nd neutral on end cover removal and gear indicatir read correctly that it was in neutral too. This is how it was re-assembled.
Is there a potential to get it wrong that I’ve missed Simon?

Could you point me to your “Night in the box” blog please Simon?
I looked but I can’t find it.

Phil
This is a link to a video I did regarding the operation of the gearbox. At the end is a section on setting up the selector shaft:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plr2YoDyr8Q
Regarding using EP oil make sure you use a grade that is suitable for bronze bearings as there are a couple inside the burman box. I believe some grades of EP can degrade such bearings.
Cheers

Thanks Simon and Alan. Very good that you’ve made such a great resource there, excellent.
Looking at that, I’m sure I must have timed it wrong as I just took it off in neutral and assumed it would be ok to go back as is.
I need the two smaller springs as they were out of balance on the pawl (could I buy a pair from you Simon?).
Other than that, I’m happier now.

You can have them for nothing if I've got them Phil. I've had enough help and support over the last few years from other members, I'll be glad to send some help the other way.Phil B wrote: I need the two smaller springs as they were out of balance on the pawl (could I buy a pair from you Simon?)
I'm on holiday at the moment though, back home next weekend.
cheers

Thanks Simon.
I’ve just noticed I’ve also been given a red anorak. It’s been a good day.
