You fella's seem to have covered it pretty well. Many times the stop components are missing and the steel pin has to do the job by itself. VH Ariels kick back pretty good so I have been replacing the rubber part with nylon and it lasts well. That is, the nylon replaces the rubber and there is still a steel sleeve around it, Another thing to watch is the rollers in the groove at the end of the selector drum. Ensure that none fall out, as it would only take one to wreck the box. The best way to assemble the box is to hold the mainshaft in an old large lathe chuck, so the mainshaft is vertical. Leave the spring that index's the selector till last as it pushes the selector drum to one side. Nev
