Where did you find that? 4130 alloy tube is readily available. It is used in aircraft and vehicle frames and is extremely stiff and thermally stable. The size above is virtually the same weight and thermal expansion as the original tubing. I simply use a slide hammer to remove the end fittings from a donor pushrod and press them back onto new tube.
