That's inspiring Tony - maybe I need an older bike.

How did you manage finding/making the fork girders?
The girders are fairly easy to find - they are Druids - loads of bikes had them. Just need to make sure the dimensions match up. Of course there are differences, but a fork is a fork. The links I made from 1/4" steel plate to dimensions provided by Ian Newton, who sadly has now passed away. Lots of drilling holes and sawing involved. Spindles I made in EN16T to match.

I wouldn't buy a bike in bits though :lol:
