Hi Vincent,

I too had never heard of Harold and the articles were both a great read (good old google translate).

Thank you very much! I would definitely like to put your ‘over the top’ rear lever on the bike please - I’ll PM you so we can sort out the finer points.

It would be interesting to know if Harold’s was a special order or if Ariel took on his idea thus giving the MK1 pedal the individual code later on. I was under the impression that it was standard on the later MK1s.

Well, there is a 'definitive article' :D
but it makes me wonder why I (almost) never see one of these Lines pedals fitted to any MkI in the wild.
maybe it was not such a good idea afterall ?

Hi Vincent,
For scrambling purposes I think it makes great practical sense as long as the brake was adjusted correctly - I can just picture a rider stomping on the pedal at some horrendous speed whilst it sits hard on the footrest! It would certainly prevent the pedal getting jammed into the mud on a tight corner or in ruts especially when your foot was hard down on it.
