Hi All,I have a Triumph oil pump on my prewar 500 for years , fixed it with allen bolts with head ground down, just had to drill the case for the allen bolts heads to clear even with ground off heads as you need the allen key to have enough depth in the bolts to work properly I think I drilled the fixing bolt holes in the pump for a bit more depth as well, If you are thinking of doing it just make sure all the oil ways are opened up to connect with the flow and return, job done and don't forget to trim the gasket to suit,The reason for doing it was the Ariel pump was worn and the Triumph one wasn't and its had both bores slightly larger than the Ariel pump, Clive.

Re Sludge trap removal this socket was recommended on a thread I started on the Four Strokes page.

I bought one and it did a brilliant job on an already rounded bolt head. Huge force needed to shift it, but this gripped perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone searching this forum for the perfect sludge trap remover!
