Post by didier.vignati »

Hi all, (first topic) :)

Since 2 years i recon a W/NG, 1942 contract, and I arrive at the end of the recon, so i am looking for those parts :

- Pillion footrest assembly 5540-42 (just 1)
- tank panel switch light baillonet type 56023
- front brake rod 21 1/2" 4160-40

It is a imported bike from india and many parts are différents from original :(

Thanks all in advance

Hi Didier,

For the front brake rod, I used ACME stainless in the UK, they do a longer one for WD girder forks, its an assembly so you get all the parts you need including the spring, sleeve and nut.

Can you post a picture of your rear foot rest? I have been trying to make a pair of rear foot rests for a while which i think i have now done, I have one odd one which may be correct which I could sell if it suited your needs.

Where are you located?

Kind regards

Adam

Drags have some used pillion rests, I know because I found them and put them on the system 5540-42U.
They also make the correct length front brake rod with the correct thread, all parts available separately so you only buy what you need 4160-40
DC 40 is also available at the same emporium.
