Sized engine

Post by stephen.smith »

Hi the engine is sized solid it looks like it has been sitting in a puddle , I do have the bare bones of another engine but I would like to use the original .
The pistons were rusted to the cylinder I have destroyed them to remove the barrels , now I cannot split the crank or even move it as it has corroded its self into the case.
I have soaked it in diesel but no joy.
Any suggestions.
Regards Steve.

i think the best way is use heat like Steven says you need a good blowtorch with mapp gas or better the very old brake fluid was very good for freeing things but not the new type just heat it right up then let it cooldown and it will crack the rust and come undone
