The frame dusn't have a steeringlockplate so 1954, the oiltank is 1955.

My father and I bought it, the numbers make it 1954 as you say. We pick it up at the weekend I’m hoping to use it this summer so if anyone has an exhaust or rear wheel and brake plate kicking about please let us know,
Anything that’s usable were more oily rag than concourse.
