Yep, blew that one! My gearbox is '56 and I have the correct oil tank for that year. Frame numbers are '56. Just the filter bung in the oil tank, no drain plug.
Given I have the bike, you'd think I'd get it right...
While it was UK registered, I don't have any books, just the plates.

Thanks for the info, im struggling to upload on here, the pics are all on the britbike forum under "New member new bike" I think it has the larger oil tank with no drain plug, it has a huge nut with the filter behind, the frame no is CGM 1433, ill have a look at the gearbox number tomorrow. The engine dates from 1953 which is a little disappointing but it runs sweet.
