KH500 Rocker feed
Hi all. In my C W Waller book, '61 edition, on page 50, he mentions a calibrated wire to to allow "sufficient oil" to pass. This was fitted to 1956 models, as the "Oil feed was excessive". Does anyone have details of this modification ?

or, like alot of us have, run the gauge directly off the stud between pump and engine (wher currently the rocker oil feed is taken from) and then put a t piece in the oil return line and take that to the rockers instead

Thanks for that John. The gauge was dropped for '56, so that's not an issue. I had wondered about feeding from the return line, so I'll do that, as it should overcome the problem.

Re: KH500 Rocker feed
I know someone overhere in Holland who rides a early KH (with oil pressure gauge). He has taken a bleed from the return side of the oiltank to feed the rockers, valve gear etc. He placed a external oil filter (cartridge) and has taken the bleed before oil is forced through the filter into the oiltank. The benefit (and assumption) is that now all oil pressure is directed to the main bearing and big ends without the risk of oil pressure loss due to (worn) rockers and over oiling.
