Hi Folks ,
I’ve run into a problem here.
Has anyone ever had the gear quadrants for a Burman RPD reproduced? Does anyone happen to know where they might still be available for purchase?
I have several kickstarter assemblies here—they could all be RPD models—but they are all slightly different from one another... and worn out.Tooth loss.
Perhaps others have encountered this same issue; how did you go about solving it?
I would also be open to buying a complete kickstarter assembly, if one happens to turn up.
I’ve attached a few photos.
have been installed in several Ariel models.
And I need them for several gearboxes.
Best wishes
Max and Olaf

Re: Burman RPD
The part number for the quadrant is 62R/M1 until 1930 when it changed to 118X/M1 because Burman decided that if a part was fitted to more than one gearbox it would use X instead of the gearbox model number. 118X appears again in the early H gearboxes but is different to Q. I believe that Karol has had quadrants made for the model Q, which wont help you unless you can persuade him to make a batch. First it would be good to talk to the champion of the Colts, Jim Coleman, I don't think he is on the forum, Coleman173@hotmail.co.uk
