4sale Triump twin in Ariel PRF . the Netherlands

Post by Vincent.vanGinneke »

- No connection !-

Triumph - Ariel bitsa, someone swopped the triumph frame for a Ariel PRF.
I think this is a pre-unit engine, cant see what gearbox perhaps a Burman GB ?
Primairy case is a -rather crude- weld up of a Triumph front part and Ariel rear, I assume it houses the Burman clutch ?

10.000,- euro  looks to me as wishfull thinking and he's one of many as of late
My suggestion would be to drag it outside give it a good clean and make good pictures.
Hmmm, I think he should be happy with someone offering half.

Original café racer built at the time at Triumph in England. Base frame Ariel Redhunter, 1955, the rest Triumph Bonneville 1967. An old colleague of mine built it up in England at Triumph during an internship in the 60s. I was able to take over this bike from him somewhere 2000. I removed the racing handlebars (is still there) and put on a wide handlebar. At most once a year I drove it through the street. The engine is completely as it was built then.
