Ahh, those diagrams are for 1954/5 LH Colt (as stated) if it's 1956 it's an LA Colt I'll have a 'dig about' see if I have diagrams for later years, Roger's page shows 4 different looms, so there must be 2 more diagrams

As previously stated the frame number would identify the year (just star out a couple of numbers)
If you add your location there may be a nearby member that could help.

Why do people hide any of the numbers of their bike? I don't think anyone is going to clone an Ariel! My objection is mainly selfish as it means I cannot add them to the machine register.

Fairly sure you have the details of mine Roger, the KH is Rob's old one, the green Leader that identifies as a black Arrow is T28299/B.
Found the 1956 onwards diagram in Haycraft Book of the Ariel (generously gifted to me by Peter Lovett) ...

At the risk of taking this thread off on a tangent, many if not most of my dating customers want to learn about the history of their bike. The club database can sometimes make a significant contribution to this history, so I think it's important that we try to keep it updated.

Bernie - I only have details of your Leader/Arrow, do you have Rob's '52 or '54 KH, if you let me know I will enter you as the new owner.
