1952 KH500 for sale

Post by john.nash »

My late 1951 (model year 1952) Ariel KH500 twin. V5 in my name, as a historic vehicle.

SOLD SOLD SOLD

Put together in 2012, but rode very occasionally. Decided to put a 500 single engine in and rode even less. The twin engine came out, complete, and it lived in my heated basement until 3 weeks ago, when I decided it needs to go so I put it back in.

It's got the single year panel tank, with no speedo cable hole, and the correct top yoke. Working chronometric speedo.

Runs a 12v electronic regulator and charges. Direct oil feed to the pressure gauge and the mod to feed the rockers off the return. It has an oil filter in the return. It also has a tap in the feed, with a lanyard which attaches to the kickstart.

Stainless rear rack and luggage. The catches aren't brilliant and I have bungees over the lids. I think I have new latches, but I cannot find them.

It is NOT mint , but its complete with quite a few original bits - mudguards, tank, seat cover, horn, etc. I can start it, oil returns and there is pressure but it needs a good fettle, esp the concentric carb, and the oil pipes.

May swap for a project ?
