1937 VB600
1937 VB600 bought (as in photo) a few years ago for £2700. Since then; forks straightened, rebuilt and fitted with new bearings, wheels re-spoked and new tyres, engine unseized and piston rings acquired, gearbox rebuilt, new exhaust pipe and silencer, (unchromed), replica headlight bought but original is salvageable, frame cleaned off but not painted, magneto and dynamo rebuilt by Tony Cooper, all tinware including toolbox with some 'Ariel' tools still inside. I had no intention of restoring, just an 'oily rag rebuild'. If I get the time during the forthcoming holiday I'll lay everything out for a photo but feel free to interrogate me in the meantime. It's for sale for £3000. It has current V5 in my name with the original registration number. Phone me anytime if interested, I'm in Gloucestershire not far from M5/J12 Phil 07730 955117

Thanks Dave and Paul for your kind comments. I should point out that the bike is complete but currently disassembled and my plan is/was to keep it in a similar visual state to the photo but running and riding.

But I guess that ‘self imposed Ariel embargo’ is not in affect to other brands?Vincent.vanGinneke wrote: Sun Dec 14, 2025 11:36 am Very nice machine!
