Re: carbs. What have I done?

I have not had a chance to get back to this, but have done some research and it seems the carb I have is off a 350 Enfield (AMAL 367 /29c). From what I can gather this has a smaller bore (1 inch), than the VH500 needs. So this may explain why I was having concerns about the top end performance (i.e. inability to cruise at speed).
So before I strip and change all the gaskets, needle and needle jet on my carburetor - I need to make a decision on whether to seek out a slightly bigger carb and set that one up instead.

So.....
Any suggestions on what I should be looking to fit - is the 1" OK, should I look for a 1 1/16", is there a better alternative to the Amal 376?
Thanks in advance....

Thanks Charles.

If you live in Muchty you may know my father. An old bloke who runs about on an Indian Trike?
