I helped our friend Klaus Schulz today to dismantle his latest aquisition which is a 1948 4G engine. It was seized due to being left in the wet for too long. But it is amazing to find the amout of oil deposits in the crankcase. The engine finally ran like that. Imagine someone to fill it up with modern synthetic oil. It would fail dramatically in no time!
Take it serious to always clean the sludge traps and the rest of the engine also!
Best Regards Klaus
4G with the usual deposits
