Hi
Routing the clutch cable and seems tight going under the engine plate from adjustment mount is this normal or something amiss ?
Barrie.

Re: Ariel ng 350 clutch cable
I use the hole above it for the clutch cable.
Dont know if it is meant to be for the clutchcable, but why else would there be a hole.
Elongate it a bit to get the route better + and more room for the movement of the box.

Thank's Vincent for the reply, yes the hole is the obvious choice like what's it there for as you say.Tried that at same time but still same sanario. Still a tight bend in cable, odd one this.Think will have to put a vertical elongated hole, file hole downwards like you said, you would think as it goes through hole in plate cable would kink a little on box adjustment. Has anyone else have this issue? Thank's

Re: Ariel ng 350 clutch cable
I suspect we all have this issue Barrie. I haven't changed any of mine from a standard and they all have that slight bend - the FH is better than the others. If I recall correctly, the FH and the WNG both have their clutch cables passing through the hole but the Square Four has it passing under the gearbox plate, above the gearbox - just like your picture.BarrieSteel wrote: Sun Jun 08, 2025 10:16 am Thank's Vincent for the reply, yes the hole is the obvious choice like what's it there for as you say.Tried that at same time but still same sanario. Re: Ariel ng 350 clutch cable
Hi Simon, Thank's for that, cable doesn't bind while going under engine plate,so will leave as is,just didn't seem right. As Burman and Ariel are separate companies someone probably didn't think it out to well as fitted similar box's to various machines suppose ?
