Dear All,
Any recommendation for a Lucas MagDynamo (MO1L - 3LM) repair ?
The mag. requires re-magnetising and possibly capacitor replacement and the dynamo less than 1 volt output.
Both on my Norton ES2 but the same combination used on some Ariel singles.
Thanks.

I recommend Old Iron Engineers. (Advert, last page club magazine).
He made a very good job of my magneto - now has a healthy 'fat' spark.
Dynamo. Easy to DIY. 12V parts available (kit of field winding, armature, bearings, brushes).

Andrew Guttman, Priory Magnetos of Macclesfield, was the recommendation of Scottish Vet.& Vintage Club members.
Fault fixed, an errant paper washers under the points retaining screw effectively insulated the points from the low tension windings; will be re-united with the '49 Norton ES2 this weekend with a test run to follow.
Thanks all.
