Kh500
Hi can anybody help, trying to wire up my bike just purchased but the wiring has been left the previous owner has fitted new type coil new rectifier new wiring loom new ignition switch. None of the wiring colours match the original this came from dragonfly. It is also fitted with electronic ignition. I’m a bit lost as there are no diagrams to any of the above. Yours Dave.

All Draganfly's looms are supplied with wiring diagrams, if yours is missing I believe they are on their web site to download or ask them. You will have to divulge the year of your bike though as it does make a difference and helps people answer questions. What is a coil type rectifier? A KH does not use a rectifier that have diodes not coils, do you mean a mechanical AVC or Regulator Box? If it is new it will be Indian and my advice would be to throw it over the nearest hedge. Use one of these https://draganfly.co.uk/shop/81313/elec ... ox/#A28-92 other makes are available. Keep the Indian reg box to hide the electronic version inside.

Ummmm - also has an ignition switch and electronic ignition.
The wiring diagram for that conversion must have come from the manufacturer of the ignition conversion, so they'll need to be asked about that.
Giving more details might let someone else help out if they've used the same kit but I don't know of many people who've gone down the electronic ignition route for a twin.

Re: Kh500
The electronic ignition is a thorspark. There are three wires coming from the unit. There are four wires coming from the regulator. And two wires coming from the coil black and red

Re: Kh500
The Draganfly wiring loom should have everything needed to wire up the lights and the charging -
- as long as the original style dynamo, regulator and light switch are still there.
The instructions with the ThorSpark will tell you how to wire up the sender, controller and
ignition switch. Somewhere I have a set which I'll try to find in the week. Better might be to
contact Sussex Cycles direct to ask them if they can provide a set.
Some pictures of the various parts will help with identifying what you have.

Thank you will any info would be great.
Re: Kh500
Previous owner had the mag reworked but unsure whether it was done to neg earth or pos earth.
Re: Kh500
Hi
You appear to be a bit confused by your electrics!
A KH would have originally had magneto ignition which is a self contained system, not reliant on battery and hence neither positive or negative earth.
If a previous owner has fitted a Thorspark ignition they would have to trigger the sparks somehow, perhaps this is the magneto rewiring to which you refer.
You need to take some photos, particularly of the magneto, and post them to give us a chance of helping you.
Regard Mick
