Carburettor

Post by SveinM »

Hi
Does anybody know if Amal 275 F carburettor will work on a W/NG 350?
It should be an Amal 275 B. I don’t know what the differences are.

It should be a 275 with 7/8 bore. Somwehere around 1941/2 the fuel connection was changed from a top feed banjo to direct fitting bottom feed, refer to the parts book for the contract of the bike. Letters after the model will give the original spec, such as jets and slide but these can be changed, there usually follows more letters after a '/', this is the spec of the float chamber.

Hi, I am restoring a Triumph 3HW in which there was a carburettor Amal 275 014R/1J 7/8 bore. It isn't ideal for me so I am going to sell it.

If you have an option top feed is best. the Bottom feed sometimes hesitates to drop and let fuel in giving you periods of slight Leaning. Top feed is more even for fuel level. Nev
