My 1941 Ex ED Ariel W/NG Civilianised (Work in progress)

Post by D Turner »

As bought on eBay. First (test) ride and enjoyed it so much I ended up at Mudeford Quay (Christchurch UK our usual Sunday haunt).

Has provenance for being ex WD with original engine and frame numbers.

Had been left in a garage for some considerable time. (Huge cracks in the front tyre from where it had been left flat for so long).

Was going to "restore" to WD spec but quite enjoying her as she is for now.

Petrol about as stale as I've ever smelt but fires up first kick and runs sweet.

Electrics all work. Amazing.

Lovely machine.

I have a civilianised W/NG too - I've been in two minds (for years!) about repainting to military spec...

Mine was repainted in Italy in the 1950s.
